Bibi Caspari

Bibi Caspari is the Founder and President of Forward Step: The Learning Coalition, a Los Angeles based 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization working to make personal development accessible to all. In conjunction with other professionals in the educational and personal development fields, Ms. Caspari developed COMPASS, Forward Step's character development and life skills training curriculum. This unique program has been used in schools, youth services, employment support programs, Therapeutic Communities, and criminal justice facilities as well as a host of other interrelated services for the community-at-large.

After receiving a B.A., cum laude, at St. Lawrence University, Ms. Caspari studied dance, movement, acting, voice, and personal development through numerous classes, workshops and seminars. Her personal experience of the transformational power and benefits of participatory learning inspired her to create COMPASS.

Ms. Caspari is an actor with international experience on stage, television, and film. After working in various capacities in theater and film production, she formed Kai Zen Productions, a video production company dedicated to producing materials that can inspire positive action. This experience in front of and behind the camera gave Ms. Caspari the capability to produce the dramatic film Photo Justice , which is used as part of the COMPASS program.

In the educational arena, Ms. Caspari has taught mime, movement, acting and audition technique. She has served as a consultant in the personal development field, teaching presentation and communication skills to professionals and other business people. As a writer, Ms. Caspari has written for the stage, created a variety of promotional materials for her various endeavors, and had an article published by the Detroit Free Press. Ms. Caspari credits her combined expertise in film production, education, writing and entrepreneurship for the successful production of the COMPASS program.
